Month two of being a flower farmer!
What did we do this month?
- Planted four varieties of Zinnias: Oriole, Salmon Queen, Exquisite Light Rose, and Luminosa.
- Five varieties of Dahlias: Melancholy, Bracken Palomino, Samoan Prince, and Homocide
- Planted two varieties of sunflowers including Teddy Bear
What did we learn?
- Don't plant before a big rain event. La Nina anyone!? 😶🌫️
- Dahlias are better planted in crates thanks to the South East Queensland weather.
- Speak to everyone in the flower industry about your journey! Chances are they have lived or worked on a flower farm before. Little nuggets of gold are everywhere!
